A SUSPENDED taxi driver found guilty of stalking a former female passenger and accused of harassing others was still ferrying women around Melbourne late last week.
Phillip Vincent Rowan, whose business Limo's for Ladies boasts that it offers ''safe'' transport for women, had his taxi driver's accreditation suspended in September last year by the Victorian Taxi Directorate - one month after police charged him with stalking and 11 counts of breaching an intervention order.
Yet when The Sunday Age contacted Mr Rowan on Friday, he said he had an elderly female passenger in his car at the time and had driven some well-known Melbourne actresses to an appointment the night before.
