A man has been shot in the upper leg at a housing commission block in Melbourne early on Sunday.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said paramedics called to the scene outside a housing commission building in Lennox Street, Richmond about 7.20am treated a man aged in his 20s for a gunshot wound to his thigh.
The man has been taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.
A police spokeswoman said no description of the offender is yet available and the circumstances of the shooting are unclear.
"The offender has not been located," a police spokeswoman said.
