Woman charged over syringe hold-ups

A 36-year-old woman has been charged with four counts of armed robbery after a spate of incidents at pharmacies in the southern suburbs dating back to March.

The woman is alleged to have threatened staff at an East Fremantle pharmacy with a syringe on March 30 before making off with cash.

On June 10 police will allege the same woman threatened staff at a pharmacy on Coode Street in Como with a syringes and escaped with drugs and cash, and again used a syringe to hold up pharmacies on Hampton Road in South Fremantle and Rockingham Road in Hamilton Hill on June 11.

She will appear in the Stirling Gardens Magistrate's Court on July 7.
