TWO teenagers have been refused bail after threatening to kill a 51-year-old man, then robbing him, police say.
Police told Parramatta Bail Court yesterday that Xiao Huang had a successful night on poker machines at the Twin Willows hotel in Bass Hill on June 21.
Amine Chabbia, 18, and a 16-year-old boy who cannot be named allegedly saw Mr Huang win $1000 then a further $1200 inside the hotel. Police said the pair watched Mr Huang win more money, then followed him.
The court was told the 16-year-old demanded Mr Huang's winnings and threatened to kill him in a car park on Chester Hill Road.
Mr Huang ran from him and had to dive for safety after Mr Chabbia tried to run him down in a white sedan, the court heard. Then his wallet was taken, police said.
Mr Chabbia will face Burwood Local Court on September 1
