A series of shots have been fired into a house with children inside in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.
Police say a family of four, including two children aged four and eight, were sitting in the lounge room of their house in Shortland Street, Wentworth Falls, about 7.50pm yesterday when a series of gunshots rang out.
Two rounds penetrated front windows and lodged in the ceiling of the split-level, timber house.
Another three bullets struck the front of the house.
No one was injured.
